HAPPY NEW YEAR

surf boards, bikinis, pool and beach parties - christmas in OZ
this year I celebrated my first christmas in summer, my first aussie christmas..
we spent christmas day by the pool, eating heaps of delicious food and drinking champagne all day.
It was more a summer/pool party than anything else, and the christmas decoration was not too suitable.
It was a beautiful day, with the best weather, many many nice people and delicious food. To be honest I didn't really get into the christmas spirit this year, cause it's too hard when you're basically spending your day in your bikini, BUT that's completely fine. It was such a nice experience and I enjoyed it so so much.
In the evening we went to the beach to try my host dad's new motor boat. Going to the beach on christmas day? Impossible in Germany.
Afterwards my friend Sandy from across the road messaged me and we rode our bikes to Cottesloe Beach to see whether something was going on. After this unusual but wonderful christmas day it was cool to speak to a german friend. Unfortunately almost everything was closed and there weren't many people around. We decided to try it in Fremantle. On our way to Freo we heard loud music, and many people were coming from the beach. We decided to have a look whether there were some people on the beach left, and accidentally bumped into a 300 people full moon party!!
That was a lifesaver and such an awesome way to end our wonderful first Australian christmas.
